Celso Mathias was born in Rio de Janeiro, began his career 23 years ago in the plastic arts with an academic painting style. Now, he works with advertising illustrations. The fantastic art entered in his life early, charmed with the fantasy world that opened him imagination. Then, he started to collaborate with the extinct publisher VECHI drawing HQs. In 1993, he worked in the colouring of the Graphic Novel "Lady Lambada de César Lobo", published in Belgium. He illustrated the cover of the magazine "EDDIE magazine" , in 2002, for the Escala publishing. In 2004 and 2005 in partnership with the great artist Vitor Ishimura began a series of works for Mongoose Publishing from England, doing covers, interior ilustration RPG works. And he produces 4 terror covers in partnership with Flávio Hoffe for Dead Dog Comics. Celso Mathias had painted more than 200 works using the oil technique, acrylic, lead and watercolor. "My pictures have the presence of all my fantasy universe."
