The Danae is a one of a kind stained glass reproduction of Gustav Klimt's famous painting. The story is that Danae's father, the King, was told by an oracle that his daughter would give birth to a son that would kill him...in fear of this the king inprisoned his daughter in a dungeon guarded by Gods...Zeus disguised himself as a shower of gold and impregnated Danae (this is captured in glass beads) she had a son and he killed the King as prophesized. This is a 7'x 3'ft. mosiac glass on glass, perfect for a bathroom window or divider between rooms. Each piece is cut by hand, thousands of pieces of glass capture the seduction of a sleeping Danae. I labored on this for a full year and a half to make it perfect. price $15,000
