Welcome to the Indigo Blaque Project, a gallery dedicated to portraying kink oriented Women of Color in a positive light. My name is Darque, and I am a Fetish photographer from the New York City area. Upon coming onto the scene I was disturbed by the lack of quality images of women of color in the BDSM community. There is another side to BDSM, a sensual more mysterious side . It is far more than the depravity that the media tends to portray it as. Through Indigo Blaque I wanted to show how I view it. As a photographer, I recognize that perception is reality, and too often the reality of our lifestyle is skewed by how we re portrayed in the media. It is time we changed how we are perceived so that we can change reality.
